As a UX designer in Netease, In 2023 mainly worked on domestic version monetization + oversea version initial system culturalization development. be able to show more design process below.

Difficulty:

Early player data shows that soft launches in some regions have low retention rates in the first ten minutes, Beginner tutorial include how we introduce the whole loop to audiences plays an essential role in this section. Considering the user differences between regions, we couldn't copy paste exactly the same flow as domestic version, need to do more adjusts base on local environment.

 

Solution:

1.Get rid of domestic cluttering HUD layout, breakdown the features one by one, using more liner way to tell players what’s the benefit for each milestone, bring more sense of achievement every step.

Difficulty:

A complex S-level difficulty commercial system needs to invite friends to help, generate the final price in real time, need to have feedback after the lowest, and the help record also needs to be redesigned to create a dazzling shopping sense.

 

Solution:

1.Arrange main outfit to right hand side in order to make it more comfort for finger friendly.

2.Align same color to tell the connections of each components.

3.Utilizing tracking animation to call out the results.

Difficulty:

The threshold for making ice cream, as well as the process of unlocking UI on the H5 interface for interacting with friends, is a point that needs to be accurately delivered.

 

Solution:

Be familiar with the guidelines of sharing links on various platforms, sort out doable schemes, and then carry out a secondary design of the packaging itself to bring in more immersive feelings sold by ice cream hut.

Need to deal with more than 10 items display on the same page, current price, sale label, final price, combo rewards, how to send gifts, how to preview outfit and details would also need to take into consideration.

 

 

UX part is relatively simple and clear, I was also participate in the visual trending and  color matching, Better upstream and downstream work experience will help quickly identify product needs and avoid repeated revisions later.

 

 

The overseas Frist Sale Special iteration pays attention to the transmission of visual effects, packaging it into a flatter reusable universal format, which is more in line with the continuation of overseas version style.

 

 

 

In addition to typical UX work, I also pay more attention to the early color matching, take charge of some part of visual guidance from a global vision, trying to make sure the quality in a high aesthetic standard, which has won a reputation among the team.
